Big things are coming to this little website of mine – some things already have. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen me banging on about the launch of this Jodiedcmitchell Photography for a good few weeks now, and here she finally is. Welcome!
Behind The Scenes
This launch has been a real push in learning how to actually market myself. There’s something about saying “Hey! Look at what I’m doing!” that makes me want to crawl into a bin and die. Dramatic? Maybe. But it’s something I’ve always struggled with, just kind of assuming everyone knows that I’m a photographer and about the services I offer. It’s all a matter of confidence.
I’ve been pretty inactive on social media since around May, I started a new job and things just got a bit much, so I took a step back. Things were still going on behind the scenes, and I was still shooting. But I wasn’t showing anything off. It’s now been six months and I’m here trying to force my way back onto the scene and shout about myself. *shudder*.
All new portfolios, new content coming up and the revamp of not one, but two instagram accounts. My website will be a tale of two sides (hence the very Jekyll and Hyde images). It’s all go over here in camp Mitchell, so I’ll talk you through what’s going to be happening.
Professional Photography Services
The main area of this site will be used as a portfolio for my fashion, music and wedding photography services. I’ll be taking you behind the scenes of my photoshoots, showing you my latest work and providing you with my services, along with any deals or competitions that may be coming up.
Fashion Photography
I can help you put together a full fashion campaign for your brand, putting together a story and a concept. From airy, boho fields to futuristic cityscapes and neon signs, I’ll also create social media content for the brand Insta and also any blogger content for that OOTD shot. Whatever you need for that brand campaign, I’m on it.
Music Photography
Need some shots of your band in full on-stage action? I’ve got you covered. I’ll be down in the photo pit snapping away, catching a mid-air jump shot and probably also getting covered in beer. I can also get some press shots of the band (or just you, if you’re more of a lone wolf), perfect for use on posters, social media and publications.
Weddings and Couples
The professional third wheel. I’ll capture you and your significant other doing what you do best. No not that, you dirty bastards. Whether you’re still in that honeymoon phase, it’s your big day or you’re 10 years deep, I’ll get the shots that represent you as a couple.
Photography Tips and Tricks
I’ll also be coming at you with a whole manner of photography advice and short little lessons. Want to know how to nail a flatlay? I got you. Need to master iPhone photography for those outfit shots? I can help with that. How about self-portraits? Just let me know what you need help with and I’ll knock something together.
