A wedding photographer based in Berkshire, and covering London and surrounding areas. I'm a crazy cat lady, an English Breakfast Tea addict and an indie music obsessionist.

Smile like you've got a straw in something tropical

I started out in photography at the age of 16 (although I'm probably around the tender age of 13 in this photo), where I picked it up as a spare A-Level block, just as something to do. What an expensive hobby that turned into… I’ve since gone on to work for two online music publications and have been published in two fashion magazines. (Not a bad choice now is it, Mrs. Ayliffe?)

I combine the energy of live music, the creativity of fashion and the authenticity of wedding photography make up the DNA of my style of work, marrying elements of each into every photo I take (pun intended).

Music has always been my first love, as you might be able to tell from the lyrics dotted about the place (tell me what songs they are and I’ll give ya a prize). If I had any form of musical talent, I would 100% be in a band, but until that happens, you can find me screaming the words - badly - at your nearest gig. I’ve got a taste for travel too, take me to any new (warm) place and I’ll be exploring, taking way too many photos and generally being in full tourist mode. My last - but arguably most valuable - skill, is that I’m also a dab hand at baking. Cheesecake, banana bread, cookies, give me an unhealthy recipe and I’ll be all over it.

Jodie is just amazing! As a couple who have been together 10 years and had a total of 3 photos together, it was really important to us that we captured all the special moments of the day. Jodie is brilliant. She was absolutely fantastic on the day and super helpful in the lead up to aswell. We wanted someone who was relaxed and would capture spontaneous/ natural moments as well as the more formal photographs and she did just that! All of our guests including us loved her on the day because she gets stuck in with everyone and has a personality when she does it. We were so excited to receive the photos and look back on the day and every single photo is exactly what we hoped for and everyone has loved seeing them!! If you are thinking of picking Jodie to do the photography for your wedding, then we would absolutely encourage you to go for it! Jodie did the photography for our wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst at the beginning of June, and we are so glad we picked her. Jodie has been great from start to finish; Her communication was spot on, she was really friendly, knew the venue well and, most importantly, she really put us at ease on the day. WOW we cannot recommend Jodie enough for her wedding photography! Such a relaxed feel to everything she does, but still incorporating all the elements that are important to you. We couldn't be happier with all the photos from our day. We had the all in package which we would recommend so that you can meet Jodie beforehand at an engagement shoot and also get comfortable having couple photos before the big day.

Jodie was absolutely perfect on our wedding day in June. Neither of us are overly comfortable in front of a camera, but Jodie made us feel instantly at ease. It comes across in how happy and relaxed we look in every photo. She captured our day perfectly and we would recommend her to anyone.
