Botley Hill Barn’s Top 5 Photo Spots

Zac and Esme stood holding hands against tall windows at sunset at Botley Hill Barn

I recently got the chance to shoot at Botley Hill Barn, one of my DREAM venues, and it is hands down one of the most photogenic places I’ve shot at. From the ceremony, to dreamy group shot locations and perfect couple session scenery, it’s all here. It mixes modern with rustic beautifully between the ceremony barn and the main hall, super versatile whatever your vibe.

The Oakley Barn

This is your ceremony spot and damn it’s a fine one. A super cute and cosy red brick barn with a fireplace and candelabras, it’s perfect for a rustic, bohemian vibe. You could even dress is up in a modern vibe for a beaut contrast.

Outside the Baby Barn

Just in front of the entrance to the Baby Barn, is a BEAUT black timber backdrop. A huge contrast to the ceremony barn, when the light hits it just right, bam you’ve got yourself some Vogue worthy shots. I also think doing the confetti here would be epic, it’d make it POP.

Inside the Main Barn

Just look at those windows and look at that view. How could you NOT want photos in front of that? At sunset this would be a beaut way to start off your couple session, and if you’re feeling particularly edgy, some silhouette shots would rock too. The light that comes through these windows is insane, so depending on your setup, there’s a whole world of options. Sat by the windows in the baby barn, by one of your tables in the main barn, even laying on the floor – it’s a beaut blank canvas, perfect for getting a bit creative.

Outside the Main Barn

Well we’ve seen it from the inside, so next lets have a look at the outside. Yep, it’s just as beautiful. The windows have a gorgeous colour to them when the sun starts to go down, and you get a perfect golden glow. The deck is also the PERFECT place for group shots and family portraits.

Down on the Lawn

Botley Hill Barn sits on top of a huge hill, so the view is something special. This means that in addition to the beaut architecture, you also get a huge green lawn to play with. Frolicking in a field with the love of your life at sunset? What could get better than that? There’s also sheep, which is another added bonus really.

And there you have it. If you’re planning a Botley Hill Barn wedding, make all my dreams come true and get in touch. You can also see more of my work and take a look at my wedding packages here.
