At the start of the summer I had the pleasure of capturing Tara and Zane’s gorgeous wedding at Gilbey’s in Windsor, Berkshire. They’d been together for seven years and engaged for six, so decided after Covid to just get their wedding PLANNED. Tara and Zane booked my Only Ones Who Know package, which perfectly suited their evening microwedding.
It was a super intimate ceremony with just five guests for the ceremony, and 25 for the reception. At the end of June, their wedding was also during the Euros, but despite this there was one rule for the day: no football.
We started at Tara and Zane’s home in Windsor where they were both getting ready. Along with Zane’s best man and Tara’s hair and make-up artist, we pumped up the Kisstory tunes and got started. Tara looked stunning with natural yet coppery makeup, which matched her bouquet from Luxe Flowers beautifully. Tara’s stunning ivory dress was from Sassi Holford, accessorised with a delicate copper floral hair piece.
Zane looked dapper in a black suit from Suit Supply, along with a champagne coloured tie which Tara had added a special personal touch to. Without Zane’s knowledge, she’d had their initials and wedding date embroidered underneath as a surprise.
Copper and ivory styling for a Windsor microwedding
Once everyone was looking beautiful and ready to go, we jumped in the cars and headed over to Gilbey’s. The ceremony was at 5pm, so the lighting in the conservatory was beautiful. There were more flowers and copper touches decorating the room, and a matching cake. They also had personalised pina colada lollipops – which were GOOD.
With dinner at 6:30pm, after the ceremony we had a quick couple session in Gilbey’s terrace garden (Windsor has the nicest summer light?!), and followed up with a few group shots as evening guests arrived. They soon sat down for their meal and their DJ arrived for them to dance the night away together.
“Jodie was brilliant as our wedding photographer. Professional, organised, patient, open to ideas and requests and a genuinely lovely person. My guests all said they didn’t even notice she was there yet captured our wedding perfectly, which is exactly what we were
looking for. “
