Chiddingstone Castle Wedding Photography Styled Shoot

Abigail wearing an Emma Beaumont dress at the altar setup in the Orangery

After a long time away from my camera this summer (thanks COVID), I had to make sure that my first one back was a biggun’. So as soon as I saw Photography Farm and Rebecca Carpenter announce their shoot day at Chiddingstone Castle, I was in. I looked at the mood board and was immediately sold – a luxury boho theme inspired by Folk Art. What a DREAM.

The creative team on board was no joke either. Real couple Willis and Periesa oozed all the love and gave each-other looks that could melt the coldest of hearts (mine). We had a tile-effect cake and cookies from Nevie Pie Cakes. Model Abigail Johnson wore a STUNNING dress from Emma Beaumont Atelier. Overall there was a lot going on. And it was all bloody beautiful.

Chiddingstone Castle

Morning Session

We were lucky enough to use a few different areas of Chiddingstone Castle throughout the day. Starting in the Orangery, we had our stunning altar, styled by Pink Palm Events with flowers from My Lady Garden. Our table set-up featured furniture from Hire Love and gorgeous tableware from Prezola and a flatlay featuring stationery from Aimee Willow Designs.

After we’d captured all the beautiful details, we moved out onto the grounds with The Oromes. Using the castle as our backdrop, we captured the couple in all their natural romance. Seriously, you can just tell that these two are OBSESSED with each-other. Periesa wore a stunning Love In Lace Bridal dress with one serious floral headdress. And looked STUNNING while doing it.

Afternoon Session

After a quick lunch break in the sun, we headed inside Chiddingstone Castle, up to the Bride’s Room. Which has the most beautiful decor, by the way. Up there was Abigail, wearing the most incredible Emma Beaumont Atelier bespoke dress. I’ve never seen a dress like it. It moved like water and seemed like it changed colour. It could literally only be magic. She’d had her hair done by Knot Your Average Bride and looked gorgeous. Finished off with jewellery from Hermione Harbutt, she was GLOWING. Abigail moved in the most beautiful way, creating the most exquisite contrasted shots in the window light.

So to finish off our day, we head back out to meet up with the rest of the team. This gave us a chance to get our stunning models up to our altar at the Chiddingstone Castle orangery. After some twirling around (seriously this dress was way too much fun), we brought the Oromes back out. Periesa had changed into another drop dead gorgeous Emma Beaumont Atelier piece, a stunning layered red dress. We put on some old school R&B and snapped away as they re-enacted their first dance together.

Finally, our last stop for the day was the rose garden. This was the most low-key part of the day, with more of a “once the party’s over” vibe to it. Which I think we all felt really, after 6 hours of shooting. Periesa had taken her shoes off, and her and Willis were dancing, lounging and generally vibing in their final photos.

The Team

Overall this shoot had an incredible group of creatives on board. And as a result, some of my favourite photos to date. I was also lucky enough to have these photos featured by the lovely Festival Brides blog.
